Welcome to the Indivisible prototype! Here are the things you need to know:

- The Changelog now has its own file! See CHANGELOG.txt

- Button config comes first. HECK YEAH!

- There is an option to have the battle buttons NOT switch depending on the battle
direction. If you don't like how it feels, change this in Settings from the pause menu.
This was the #1 complaint, so we addressed it. :^)

- There is a How to Play choice from the pause menu.

- If anything odd happens in battle, you can flee by holding the L1+R1 buttons down for a while.
This IS a prototype, after all. :^)

- If you get stuck anywhere, remember you can also hold down buttons after pressing them,
  rather than just tapping them.

- There have been some bugfixes and updates from the Skullgirls backers' version.
(Yes, in the 3 days since it got released. We're serious!)
  They're listed at the bottom.
If you were a backer, you probably want to play this version anyway.

The game itself should make clear everything you need to know. Hopefully.
Read the button descriptions in button config, though!

-- Can I Stream This / Post Videos / Etc? --

YES! Double yes!

Feel free to post about the prototype, post videos, stream gameplay, etc.
After all, the more eyeballs we get on the game, the more likely we are to get funded!

"Funded"?
Yep, we're having a 60 day Indiegogo campaign from October 5th, 2015.
If you liked the prototype and want more, consider backing it!

-- About the Prototype --

The Indivisible prototype represents roughly 3 and a half months of work from the small team at Lab Zero Games.
In this time we prototyped the gameplay, developed a new pipeline for level creation and design, and made a
lot of art and animation. We also didn't sleep as much as we should have.

This is a small sample of Indivisibles gameplay. While we intend for it to be representative
of the final product, a lot is likely to change over the games expected two-year development cycle.
And of course the final product will feature many more characters, worlds, gameplay mechanics,
graphical configuration options, a story, etc.

-- "It doesn't run for me!" --

1 - Make sure you have extracted all the files from the ZIP to a directory somewhere.
Don't just run the EXE from within the ZIP and expect it to work.

2 - If the directory you place it in has non-English characters in the filename, it may not work.
Try placing it in c:\indivisible or something, and see if that helps.

3 - You may not have DirectX 9! *Especially* if you are using Windows 8 or Windows 10,
because they don't come with DirectX 9.
Try downloading and installing the DirectX 9 Runtimes. You can search for
"directx9 runtimes june" and find the Web Installer,
or, if you trust links in README files, get it from Microsoft here:
    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35&44F86079-8679-400C-BFF2-9CA5F2BCBDFC=1
(you want the June 2010 version!)

If these steps don't help, then you should ask around online! :^(

        * Successfully defending an enemy attack builds some Iddhi Meter

Your battle formation looks like this:

Facing RIGHT: Facing LEFT:

         Zebei Zebei

    +++ Iddhi Powers +++

During battle, the Iddhi Meter in the upper corner of the screen will fill up as you hit enemies.

Press R1 + the button for the corresponding character in your formation to perform an Iddhi Power.

        * Requires at least 1 level of Iddhi Meter.

The Iddhi Meter slowly drains while your action gauge is charging. Iddhi Meter left over at the end of battle is converted to HP.
